Dr. Kaixuan Liu opens 4th clinic in NYC — 5 things to know

Spine specialist Kaixuan Liu, MD, opened a new office in New York City.

Dr. Liu founded Atlantic Spine Center, which currently has three locations in New Jersey. Here are five things to know:

 

1. All Atlantic Spine Center locations, including the new NYC location, are staffed by licensed medical professionals and have staff that speak Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic.

 

2. Dr. Liu is the chief surgeon at Atlantic Spine Center and a pioneer in endoscopic spine surgery. He strives to bridge the gap between traditional pain management and spine surgery.

 

3. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Liu is a clinical assistant professor at Langone Medical Center of New York University and visiting associate professor in the department of orthopedics at West China Hospital, Sichuan University.

 

4. Dr. Liu earned his medical degree at Hubei Medical College in China and completed anesthesiology training at Columbia University in New York before moving on to his spine fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery at Advanced Orthopedics of South Florida.

 

5. In addition to endoscopic discectomy, laminectomy and foraminotomy, the practice includes oblique lateral lumbar interbody fusion and endoscopic facet rhizotomy.
