Wyoming had the lowest number of female physicians in 2012, according to State Health Facts, a project of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.

There were a total of 234,282 female physicians in the United States in 2012.

2. North Dakota — 366
3. South Dakota — 469
4. Montana — 503
5. Alaska — 546
6. Idaho — 569
7. Vermont — 665
8. Delaware — 820
9. Hawaii — 952
10. New Hampshire — 1,113
