The Center for Regenerative Medicine to Treat Plica Knee Syndrome

Practice Management

The Center for Regenerative Medicine in Miami will begin treating plica of the knee with regenerative medicine. Plica, which does not cause adverse effects in all individuals, can become inflamed by overuse, injury or inflammation.

Since plica syndrome symptoms are similar to those of arthritis or meniscus tear, it is often not part of diagnostic differentials. The Center for Regenerative Medicine is developing non-surgical treatment methods, including using stem cells, to treat or manage joint pain.
