Spinal Tech

Bone Solutions, an orthobiologics technology company, launched OsteoCrete, a magnesium-based bone void filler.

Here are five highlights:

1. OsteoCrete bone void filler is designed to assist with bone repair and generation. It is also the first bone void filler in the U.S. to use magnesium.

2. The device is resorbable, replaced with bone as the patient heals. OsteoCrete is also injectable, moldable and biocompatible.

3. The FDA cleared OsteoCrete for use in bone related surgical procedures raging from complex sports related injuries to all musculoskeletal extremities trauma cases.

4. The device is currently being distributed to clinics and surgical centers around the country for immediate use.

5. Many modern orthopedic devices used for bone repair or replacement are calcium-based. Bone Solutions hopes its magnesium-based bone void filler will provide added strength and expandability.
