Spinal Tech

DePuy Synthes launches its Trumatch Titanium 3D-Printed Implants for facial reconstruction surgery.

Here are five things to know:

1. Trumatch Titanium 3D-Printed Implants are custom designed from a CT scan of the patient's skull and surgeons can use the image for surgical planning.

2. With the addition of these implants, DePuy Synthes can now offer Trumatch Orthognathics, a personalized total solution for orthognathic surgery.

3. The implants use a new digital approach giving surgeons better independent accuracy of maxillary positioning and reducing surgery time.

4. DePuy Synthes signed an exclusive agreement with Materialise, a marketer of software solutions and 3-D printing services in medical markets, to distribute the implants.

5. The company plans to begin marketing Trumatch Titanium 3D-Printed implants later this month.
