ECA Medical Instruments' sterile-packed, disposable orthopedics kits see growing adoption: 4 key notes

Spinal Tech

ECA Medical Instruments reported major gains and market adoption of its new sterile-packed, disposable kits for orthopedics.

Here are four key notes:

1. ECA Medical designed sterile-packed, surgery ready disposable instrument kits for a wide range of trauma and extremity implants for fracture and joint degeneration.

2. The kits are tailored to implant manufacturer specifications and designed to eliminate reprocessing, improve patient safety and reduce costs.

3. The kits include all instruments surgeons and OR teams need, such as cannulated fixed drivers, torque limiters, cannulated countersinks and depth gauge instruments, drill guides, guide wires and drill bits.

4. ECA designed the kits to accommodate minimally invasive procedures.

"Single-use instrument kits coupled with sterile packed implants are clearly the way of the future for high volume and relatively low complexity orthopedic surgeries in both the hospital and the outpatient setting," said James Schultz, ECA's executive vice president, sales and marketing. "We're excited to partner with major OEMs in the ortho and spine industry and bring these new instrument kits to market."
