Stryker Spine showcases 3-D-printed Tritanium Posterior Lumbar Cage: 5 notes

Allendale, N.J.-based Stryker Spine is highlighting its 3-D-printed Tritanium Posterior Lumbar Cage with the addition of new cage sizes.

Here are five notes:

 

1. Stryker initially offered the cage in four footprints, eight heights and two lordosis options. Now, surgeons may purchase a hyper-lordotic 12 degree cage option and two new footprints.

 

2. Tritanium technology develops porous structures mirroring cancellous bone in pore size, level of porosity and pore interconnectivity.

 

3. The Tritanium Posterior Lumbar Cage features large lateral windows which facilitate visualization of fusion on CT and X-rays.

 

4. The cage's solid-tipped, angled serrations offer bidirectional fixation and are intended to maximize surface area for endplate contact with the cage.

 

5. Stryker will feature the cage at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons annual meeting in San Diego, held from March 15 to 18, 2017.
