Exactech 2016 revenue up 7% to $257.6M: 7 things to know

Exactech reported 7 percent increase in its 2016 revenue over 2015, with similar growth in fourth quarter revenue.

Here are seven things to know:

 

1. The company reported full year 2016 revenue at $257.6 million, up 7 percent from 2015. The domestic revenue was up 5 percent to $176.8 million and international revenue grew 10 percent to $80.8 million.

 

2. The company's key service lines for 2016 reported:

 

• Extremities revenue: up 16 percent to $100.3 million
• Knee revenue: up 4 percent to $76.2 million
• Hip revenue: up 8 percent to $46.7 million
• Biologics and spine revenue: down 14 percent to $19.5 million

 

3. The fourth quarter revenue by service line was:

 

• Extremities revenue: up 16 percent to $27.3 million
• Knee revenue: up 7 percent to $19.8 million
• Hip revenue: up 2 percent to $11.2 million
• Biologics and spine revenue: down 28 percent to $6 million

 

4. The company ramped up roll out of its revision knee products in the fourth quarter of 2016, and expects the momentum to grow in 2017. Exactech also made its Alteon Monobolck Revision Hip System more available last year.

 

5. In 2017, Exectech plans to launch Truliant, a new comprehensive knee system, in the second half of the year and expand the ExactechGPS computer assisted surgery system from one to four applications. Two of the additions will be to further support knee surgery.

 

6. Exactech expects 2017 revenue to reach $264 million to $272 million.

 

7. For the fourth quarter, the company reported $11.79 million net loss.
