An investment platform and marketplace, angelMD, held a startup pitch event ahead of the 13th Annual Mazama Spine Summit in Winthrop, Wash., Jan. 27 to Jan. 29, 2017.
Here are five highlights:
1. The pitch event included spine surgeons and med-tech startups showcasing their technology.
2. The entrepreneurs also attended a fire-side chat to discuss additional help they needed to bring their technology to the next level.
3. Three startups received the opportunity to present their technology:
• Artoss in Foley, Minn. —Synthetic bone graft innovations
• Aqueduct Critical Care in Kirkland, Wash. —Cerebral spinal fluid drainage products
• Green Sun Medical in Fort Collins, Colo. — Dynamic bracing for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
4. Richard Wohns, MD, JD, serves as CMO for angelMD.
5. He also founded and hosts the Mazama Spine Summit.
