Vertera Spine's COHERE device honored as one of the best spine technologies in 2016: 5 highlights

Atlanta-based Vertera Spine received an award for its COHERE Cervical Interbody Fusion Device.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. Orthopedics This Week labeled the device as one of the "Top Ten Best Spine Technologies for 2016."

 

2. Orthopedics This Week chose winners based on creativity, innovation, the devices' ability to solve critical clinical problems and the long-term impact on spine surgery.

 

3. COHERE includes the company's patented porous PEEK Scoria biomaterial technology, which is intended to enhance bone formation.

 

4. COHERE is designed for anterior cervical fusion procedures treating complex single-or multi-level spine complications, and is the first device in clinical use to be manufactured completely of PEEK.

 

5. Vertera Spine launched a limited market release of COHERE in May 2016.
