Dr. William Tobler performs 1st outpatient RIALTO SI fusion using O-arm technology: 5 highlights

A Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine surgeon performed the first sacroiliac joint fusion at an outpatient surgery center utilizing Medtronic's RIALTO system in the United States.

1. William Tobler, MD, performed the surgery.

 

2. The RIALTO system features O-arm and StealthStation technology for 3D navigation.

 

3. Dr. Tobler commented the O-arm technology offers real-time images of patients' anatomy.

 

4. Mayfield Brain & Spine acquired the O-arm technology in 2016.

 

5. Dr. Tobler completed his residency at University of Cincinnati Medical Center & Mayfield Clinic.
