Carl Zeiss Medical named Steven C. Schallhorn, MD, its CMO for global ophthalmic devices. Here's what you need to know.

1. Dr. Schallhorn will serve on the company's executive leadership team and help influence its strategic direction for business and medical guidance. He will additionally help to develop best practices for improving outcomes, efficiency and effectiveness.

 

2. Global President of Ophthalmic Devices Jim Mazzo lauded Dr. Schallhorn's appointment saying, "Dr. Schallhorn's medical expertise is pivotal to our clinical and medical affairs strategy and our partnership with doctors, clinical advisors, academic and ophthalmic associations."
