Elekta and Brainlab have entered into a technical exchange agreement to enhance the interoperability and treatment capabilities of their stereotactic neurosurgery treatments.

1. The agreement involves Brainlab's Elements Stereotaxy software and Elekta's Leksell Vantage Stereotactic System delivery system.
2. The Leksell Vantage Stereotactic System features a nonmetallic head frame for neuroimaging and an arc design.
3. Elements Stereotaxy advances the capabilities for planning as well as intra-and postoperative verification of the lead placement for stereotactic functional neurosurgery.
4. The two companies announced the agreement at the European Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery meeting in Madrid.
