Precision Spine to introduce MD-Vue Lateral Access System: 5 things to know

Spinal Tech

Parsippany, N.J.-based Precision Spine plans to unveil its MD-Vue Lateral Access System at the North American Spine Society Annual Meeting in October in Boston.

Here are five things to know:

1. The MD-Vue System includes a patented nested three-blade design that inhibits blade creep during insertion in lateral procedures.

2. Additionally, an adjunct fourth blade anterior retraction option allows surgeons to increase the retraction field. This reduces the stress on neural structures during retraction.

3. The MD-Vue System includes Infinite Cranial/Caudal Resolution, which is intended to stop unwanted nerve pressure.

4. The system also features integrated LED lighting.

5. Precision Spine anticipates the MD-Vue System as well as other systems in its pipeline will drive significant revenue.

"With its many unique features, MD-Vue is a noteworthy advancement over existing lateral access systems and an outstanding platform from which we can continue to expand our presence in the lateral market," said Jim Pastena, CEO and board chairman, Precision Spine.
