Genesys Spine wins international award for its Binary plating system — 5 highlights

Austin, Texas-based Genesys Spine's Binary Anterior Cervical Plating System won the "Iron A' Design Award" in Italy, according to SYS-CON Media.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. A' Design Award & Competition presented the award in the "Scientific Instruments, Medical Devices and Research Equipment Design" category.

 

2. The Binary Anterior Cervical Plating System is intended to decrease the number of tools required in cervical spine surgery and reduce operating time.

 

3. It includes Helios Technology, which combines counter rotation functionality and anti-blackout functionally.

 

4. The system's Zero-Step feature is a ratcheted screw-head system that locks into place in the screw heads.

 

5. The "A' Design Award" is given to the top 20 percent of designs that achieved an exemplary level of design greatness.
