Stryker Navigation's SpineMask tracker cuts down incisions during spine surgery: 5 things to know

Spinal Tech

Stryker Navigation designed the SpineMask Tracker, the first non-invasive patient tracker that doesn't require another incision for tracking during minimally invasive spine surgery.

Here are five things to know:

1. SpineMask Tracker works with SpineMap three-dimensional software.

2. The device is placed on a patient's back and connects with imaging devices in the operating room.

3. SpineMask Tracker allows automatic intraoperative mask registration, which uses a software algorithm to match a patient's anatomy to the intraoperative image.

4. The technology also partners with Sryker's NAV3 navigation platform, which has a camera arm that is conducive with many procedures.

5. The SpineMask and SpineMap technologies are compatible with many intraoperative imaging devices.
