Here are the recent mergers and acquisitions that took place among spine and orthopedic companies.

Integra LifeSciences acquired Tornier's Salto Talaris and Salto XT ankle replacement products in addition to Tornier Futura silastic toe replacement. Integra LifeSciences has not disclosed how much it will pay for the acquisition of the three products.

 

Stryker completed the acquisition of Muka Metal, a Turkey-based company that sells hospital beds. The acquisition will expand Stryker's global presence in important markets.

 

Greatbatch is purchasing Lake Region Medical for approximately $730 million in cash and stock. Both companies approved of the deal.

 

ECM Medical acquired Greater China distribution rise for the Interfuse System of implants from Vertebral Technologies. VTI technology for lumbar fusion system is designed based on proprietary modular technology to allow spine surgeons to achieve predictable efficacy of a large, biomechnically stable footprint.
