Monteris Medical appointed James Reinstein to its board of directors.
Here are five things to know:
1. Mr. Reinstein served as president and CEO of Aptus Endosystems and executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Cyberonics.
2. He spent time in leadership roles with Boston Scientific where he built and managed successful operational teams in Latin America and Asia.
3. Throughout his career, Mr. Reinstein has had success in commercializing high technology medical devices, including experience with neurosurgery and neurology.
4. Mr. Reinstein earned his degree at Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in Athens and is a General Partner at Palo Alto Medtech Advisors.
5. He currently sits on the board for two publicly-traded medical device companies. As he assumes his seat on the board, Gary Bantle, partner with BDC Capital Healthcare fund and an early investor in Monteris Medical, is stepping down.
