Here are the recent mergers and acquisitions that took place among spine and orthopedic companies:

1. Medtronic signed a definitive agreement to acquire the California-based company, RF Surgical Systems for $235 million.

 

 2. Amendia acquired Custom Spine's business. The merger will strengthen Amendia's focus on the spine market, with a comprehensive product offering in a vertically-integrated business model.

 

3. Smith & Nephew acquired the orthopedics and trauma business of Russian-based manufacturing companies DeOst and DC.

 

4. Stryker acquired Muka Metal, a Turkish medical equipment company.

 

5. Mindray Medical International acquired the remaining stake in Wuhan Dragonbio Surgical Implants, a China-based orthopedic and spine device company.
