OrthAlign technology received the 2015 Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award in orthopedic alignment.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. OrthAlign's alignment technology platform is designed for use in both total knee and total hip arthroplasty procedures.

 

2. The platform is a palm-sized, single-use device, which is compatible with all implant systems.

 

3. Clinical studies have shown the technology's efficacy. In a study, conducted by Denis Nam, MD, found that 94.9 percent of patients in the KneeAlign cohort had an alignment within 2° of neutral as compared to 92.5 percent in the computer assisted surgery device cohort.

 

4. More than 30,000 cases have been successfully completed worldwide using OrthAlign technology.
