joimax to introduce iLESSYS Delta spine system — 6 things to know

Spinal Tech

Endoscopic spine surgery device company joimax plans to introduce the iLESSYS Delta system this week.

The company will introduce iLESSYS at the 66th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Neurosurgery. Here are five things to know about the system:

1. iLESSYS Delta is an advanced development of the company's iLESSYS technology.

2. The system is suitable for dorsal and dorso lateral treatment of central spinal canal stenosis.

3. The system enables surgeons to decompress a large area with interlaminar access.

4. Surgeons are guided by endoscopic-assisted vision when using the system.

5. The new endoscope has a 6 mm working channel enabling surgeons to use a large shaver blade designed for bone resection and end-kerrisons.

6. Surgeons can conduct a parallel cage implantation with the system to achieve dorsal decompression and stabilization in one step.

"Since the access to the spine is the same with the already well-established iLESSYS technique, usage is very straightforward," said Dr. Guntram Krzok, an orthopedic surgeon who tested the new system at a workshop earlier this year. "I was impressed by the new scope which delivers outstanding image quality. With the specialized instrument set, it is finally possible to achieve decompression of central spinal canal stenosis."
