InVivo Therapeutics named a new site for the ongoing Neuro-Spinal Scaffold for patients with acute spinal cord injury.
Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine in Indianapolis is now a clinical trial site for the company's spinal cord injury treatment. Here are five things to know:
1. Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine is a merger of Indianapolis Neurosurgical Group and Indiana University Department of Neurological Surgery. They joined to provide medical practice and academic research.
2. The procedures will be performed at the Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital.
3. The principal investigator at the site is Eric Horn, MD, PhD, assistant professor of neurological surgery and director of spinal neurosurgery at Indiana University department of neurological surgery.
4. The facility is the largest Level I trauma center in Indiana and one of the leading neurocritical care units in the nation for acute brain and spinal injuries.
5. InVivo is looking to enroll the final three patients in the clinical trial.
