MAKOplasty includes the use of the RIO Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System, a surgeon-controlled robotic arm system that allows for precise and accurate alignment and placing of implant. The technology is the latest offering in the total joint program at the hospital, which was established in 2003, according to the report.
