Aesculap Implant Systems has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Aesculap Odontoid Fracture Fixation System.
The system is intended for fracture fixation of small bones and small bone fragments including odontoid fractures. It was designed in collaboration with Ronald I. Apfelbaum, MD, emeritus professor of neurosurgery at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City.
