Will Thomas Sullivan serve on Span-America Medical Systems' board of directors? 4 quick facts

Span-America Medical Systems will nominate Thomas J. Sullivan for election to the board of directors at the company's next annual meeting in February 2015.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Mr. Sullivan currently serves as president, CEO and director of Symmetry Medical, a provider of medical device solutions, including surgical instruments, sterilization cases and trays and orthopedic implants.

 

2. Previously, he served in numerous leadership roles in healthcare companies, including as president, supply chain and business processes at Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems; president of DePuy Orthopaedics, a Johnson & Johnson Company; and president of Johnson & Johnson Medical Products Canada.

 

3. Mr. Sullivan has been nominated to fill the term of Richard Coggins, which is set to expire in 2017. Mr. Coggins has submitted his resignation from the board of directors, effective in early 2015. Mr. Coggins will continue to serve as CFO, vice president of finance and secretary of the company.

 

4. Span-America manufactures and markets a comprehensive portfolio of pressure management products for the medical market.
