Bacterin Signs Distribution Agreement With Jeil for LeForte System

Orthopedic device company Bacterin has signed a distribution agreement with Jeil Medical for distribution of Jeil's LeForte System, according to a Bacterin news release. The LeForte System includes orthopedic implants used in craniomaxillofacial procedures, such as trauma and reconstruction. Bacterin plans a beta-launch of the LeForte System in the United States and Canada next month with the full product release to occur during the second quarter of 2012.

As a result of the agreement, the company has promoted Nick Navarro to executive vice president of medical devices. Mr. Navarro has previous experience with Johnson & Johnson.
