Hanger Orthopedic Group Acquires Nevada Rehabilitation Provider

Hanger Orthopedic Group has signed a merger agreement for the $155 million acquisition of Reno, Nev.-based Accelerated Care Plus, a provider of clinical programs for sub-acute and long-term care rehabilitation providers, according to a Hanger news release.

Hanger will acquire ACP, which has more than 4,000 contracts with 15,000 skilled nursing facilities nationwide. The group anticipates the transaction to consummate before the end of 2010, subject to closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and a completion of Hanger's planned financing.

Hanger expects ACP will produce $57 million in revenue and $17 million of EBITDA.
