MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, part of MedStar Orthopaedics, is the first hospital in the United States to offer procedures with the Rotation Medical Rotator Cuff System.
The system is intended for treatment of rotator cuff disease. The first procedure with the system will be performed by Les Matthews, MD, chief of orthopedics at the hospital and medical director of MedStar Orthopaedics.
Rotation Medical is a medical device company focused on developing new technologies to treat rotator cuff disease and it recently received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its implantable collagen scaffold technology.
