MAKO Surgical Settles Lawsuit, Acquires Stanmore Robotic Assets

MAKO Surgical has agreed to settle its patent infringement lawsuit against Stanmore Implants Worldwide and will acquire some of Stanmore's assets. MAKO filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission and U.S. District Court on March 19, alleging intellectual property infringement with Stanmore's Sculptor Robotic Guidance Arm.

As per the settlement, MAKO will acquire certain assets related to the Sculptor RGA and will make a cash payment. Stanmore has also agreed to withdraw from robotics, according to the release.
