10 New Spine Device Launches

Here are 10 new spine devices recently launched or released.
ACD Instrument Set. Medtronic introduced the ACD Instrument Set that can be used to insert its BRYAN Cervical Disc. The new instrument set is an upgrade from the original set, approved by the FDA in 2009.

Anterior Cervical Interbody Spacer System.
DePuy Synthes Spine launched ACIS for anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. The system includes three axial footprints and three sagittal profiles for a better anatomical fit, and the spacers are made of PEEK OPTIMA.

Arcadius Standalone Interbody Device.
Aesculap Implant Systems introduced its Arcadius Standalone Interbody Device for anterior lumbar interbody fusion procedures. The device features a Plasmapore coating, an osteoconductive pure Titanium porous coating to enhance implant stability and improve imaging properties.

FORZA Spinal Spacer System.
Introduced by Orthofix last week, the FORZA Spinal Spacer System features chamfered edges, which allow the spine surgeon to rotate the implant as needed during posterior lumbar interbody fusions or transforaminal lumbar interbody fusions.

Hero Allograft.
Spinal Elements launched the Hero Allograft, which consists of various configurations of human allograft tissue including demineralized bone matrix in paste or putty form, compressible cancellous blocks and strips, and structural grafts. They are for use during fusion procedures.

Integra Complete Cervical Interverterbal Body Fusion Device.
Integra LifeSciences launched the Integra Complete Cervical Intervertebral Body Fusion Device, a stand-alone device for anterior cervical decompression and fusion procedures. It has received the FDA 510(k) clearance and is designed to help provide stability for spinal fusion.

Oblique Lateral Interbody Fusion.
Medtronic introduced its OLIF25 procedure for minimally invasive spinal fusion, which leverages the traditional anterior lumbar interbody fusion principles with the in-situ convenience of the lateral approach. The procedure allows for access around the iliac crest at L4-L5.

SPOTLIGHT PL Access System.
The SPOTLIGHT PL Access System from DePuy Synthes Spine is designed for minimally invasive posterior-lateral fusion. The system includes a comprehensive set of retractors with integrated fiber optic lighting and decortications instruments.

SteriSpine PS Pedicle Screw System.
Safe Orthopaedics launched the SteriSpine PS Pedicle Screw System, which is a single-use kit for every orthopedic procedure. The sterile kits are packaged to reduce healthcare costs and include a unique device identifier to track and trace implants and instrumentation used in the procedure.

pezo PEEK cage.
ulrich medical released the pezo PEEK cage implant for both posterior and anterior approaches for lumbosacral interbody fusion. The implants are available in several heights and angles and wrapped in individually sterile packaging.
