Leesburgh, Va.-based spine device company K2M will showcase its completed cervical fixation portfolio at the 2012 American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting in Miami.
Recent additions to the company's offerings include the BLUE RIDGE Hybrid and PYRENEES Translational. The BLUE RIDGE Hybrid Cervical Plate System includes a nitinol locking mechanism for use during screw insertion without any additional locking steps.
The PYRENEES Translational Cervical Plate System includes a unidirectional ratchet mechanism at each level to allow for controlled settling of the patient's anatomy. The company's tifix locking technology allows screw heads to form an autogenic lock to the plate upon insertion.
