6 Hospitals Expanding Orthopedic Practices

How to Develop an Orthopedic & Spine ASC

Here are six hospitals and health systems recently opening or expanding their orthopedic care. 1. Stamford Hospital will open its Orthopedic & Spine Institute at Chelsea Piers Connecticut on April 1.

2. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton (Mass.) opened phase one of its orthopedic center. The 9,000-square-foot Center for Orthopaedic Care houses specialists in sports medicine and joint replacements.

3. St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland and the Austen BioInnovation Institute in Akron (Ohio) announced an innovation partnership that will initially focus on orthopedics.

4. Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, Calif., is starting an osteopathic residency program geared toward family and internal medicine and orthopedics.

5. Glendale, Wis.-based Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare announced expanded spine and orthopedic care at the Midwest Spine and Orthopedic Hospital, located on the Wheaton Franciscan-Wisconsin Heart Hospital Campus in Wauwatosa, Wis.

6. Bend, Ore.-based St. Charles Health System announced that it has entered into a service line agreement with Bend-based Desert Orthopedics and Bend-based The Center that is aimed at providing streamlined orthopedic care for Oregon residents.
