Lynn Snyder-Mackler, professor of physical therapy at the University of Delaware, has received the Method to Extend Research in Time Award from the National Institutes of Health for her work on evidence-based approaches to the rehabilitation of knee injuries.
A new study led by Guillaume D. Dumont, MD, of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, shows that adolescent athletes waiting more than 150 days after an ACL injury for treatment risk a higher risk of other knee injuries, according to a news release from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Kohl's department stores donated $313,000 to Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital Pediatric Sports Medicine Center, a portion of which will be put towards preventing ACL injury among young athletes, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.
