HIPAA Privacy, Security Audits by Office of Civil Rights Begin This Month

This month the Office of Civil Rights will begin auditing covered entities and business associates for HIPAA compliance, according to the OCR. The HITECH Act requires HHS to perform periodic audits to check for HIPAA compliance.
