iPad application drchrono — which includes speech-to-text technology, paperless billing, e-prescription filling and other features — has received meaningful use certification as a complete electronic health record, according to a company news release.
Physicians who have the free app would also be able to look at X-ray and lab results, take photos and videos and create custom clinical notes from their iPad and would be able to receive the $44,000 in meaningful use incentives over five years.
According to the company, it is currently the only meaningful use certified EHR on the iPad.
