New York-based FAIR Health will soon launch a free website to utilize "fair and open methodology" for looking up healthcare provider and physician charges nationwide, according to a Colorado Medicine report.
The website aims to give users numerous tools to understand their insurance coverage for out-of-network care, the report said.
Information that will provided on the website will include glossaries to explain terms on health plan documents or physician bills, explanations of out-of-network reimbursement, educational videos on reimbursement, estimated average costs of a medical service in a particular area and estimates of what insurers cover if a patient goes out-of-network.
